Gown Builder Terms & Conditions
These Terms & Conditions apply to all orders placed through the Paper Dolls online gown custom design tool and related custom-order pages on the Renegade Bridal / Natalie Harris Design, LLC Shopify store. By placing an order through the online custom design tool, the customer agrees to these Terms & Conditions, the store’s Refund Policy, Shipping Policy, Privacy Policy, and Terms of Service.
1. Custom Made-to-Order Product
All gowns and custom design tool orders are made to order or assembled to order based on the customer’s selected design components, options, measurements, and other submitted information. These are custom, personalized, and specially commissioned goods made specifically for the customer.
Because each order is produced specifically for the customer, custom design tool orders are final sale and are not eligible for cancellation, return, exchange, or refund, except as expressly stated in these Terms.
2. Customer Responsibility for Selections
The customer is solely responsible for reviewing and confirming all selections before submitting the order, including but not limited to:
- style components
- silhouette
- bodice, sleeve, skirt, back, and embellishment choices
- fabric and color selections
- closure type
- sizing and/or measurements
- shipping address
- event date or wear-by date, if requested
Once the order is submitted, the customer’s selections are treated as final production instructions.
3. Visual Representations and Builder Previews
Images, mockups, layered previews, digital renderings, fabric thumbnails, color swatches, inspiration images, and on-screen garment previews are provided for illustration only. They are intended to help the customer visualize available options, but they are not a guarantee of exact final appearance.
The customer acknowledges that final garments may vary from on-screen previews due to:
- screen settings and device display differences
- lighting and photography differences
- fabric texture, sheen, transparency, weight, and drape
- dye lot and material availability variations
- construction requirements
- scale, layering, and fit differences once produced on a real body
Minor differences between digital previews and the finished gown do not constitute a defect.
4. Sizing, Measurements, and Fit
If the customer submits body measurements or selects a size, the customer is solely responsible for the accuracy of that information.
Natalie Harris Design strongly recommends professional measuring by an experienced tailor, seamstress, or alterations specialist. Natalie Harris Design is not responsible for poor fit, altered body measurements, weight fluctuation, posture differences, undergarment differences, or inaccuracies in customer-submitted measurements or sizing choices.
Custom and made-to-order gowns will likely still require final alterations after delivery. Unless expressly stated otherwise in writing, alteration costs are the customer’s responsibility.
5. Production Timeline
Quoted or estimated production and delivery timelines are estimates only and are not guaranteed delivery dates. Production begins only after:
- full payment is received, and
- all required measurements, selections, and other requested information have been submitted in usable form.
Production and delivery timing may be affected by seasonality, material availability, supply delays, production capacity, shipping delays, customs delays, acts of God, carrier disruptions, or other events outside Natalie Harris Design’s control.
The customer is responsible for ordering with sufficient lead time before any wedding, photoshoot, event, performance, or deadline. Natalie Harris Design is not responsible for losses arising from a customer’s late purchase timing or event changes.
6. Rush Orders
Rush or expedited production may be available at Natalie Harris Design’s sole discretion for an additional fee. Acceptance of a rush fee does not waive these Terms and does not make the order cancellable or refundable.
7. Changes After Order Submission
Because production planning and sourcing may begin immediately after order placement, change requests are not guaranteed.
If Natalie Harris Design agrees to a requested change after submission, additional labor, materials, admin, patterning, or shipping charges may apply. Some requested changes may be impossible once sourcing, cutting, dyeing, embellishment planning, or production has begun.
8. Material Availability and Substitutions
Natalie Harris Design reserves the right to make commercially reasonable substitutions of materials, trims, linings, findings, or construction methods where necessary due to supplier discontinuation, stock shortages, dye lot variations, or comparable availability issues, provided that the overall design intent and quality level are substantially maintained.
If a major material or design element becomes unavailable and no reasonable substitute is acceptable, Natalie Harris Design may offer a store credit, production revision, or other commercially reasonable remedy at its discretion.
9. Final Sale / No Cancellation / No Return
All custom design tool orders are final sale.
Except for a verified defect as defined below:
- no cancellations
- no returns
- no exchanges
- no chargeback claims based on buyer’s remorse, changed preferences, event cancellation, color preference, style preference, ordinary fit adjustments, or misunderstanding of made-to-order timelines
Failure or refusal to accept delivery, refusal of shipment, return-to-sender caused by customer error, or failure to provide correct address information does not cancel the order and does not entitle the customer to a refund.
10. Defects and Limited Remedy
A “defect” means a material production flaw that causes the delivered item to materially fail to conform to the customer’s confirmed order, such as faulty construction or clearly verifiable production damage.
The following are not defects:
- dissatisfaction with chosen style
- color differences within commercially reasonable variance
- differences between screen display and physical fabric appearance
- dye lot variation
- expected texture, drape, transparency, shimmer, or hand-feel differences
- fit issues resulting from customer measurements, size selection, body changes, or preference
- minor finishing variations that do not materially affect wear or appearance
- damage caused after delivery, including wear, alterations, storage, makeup, fragrance, pets, smoke, or mishandling
The customer must report any claimed defect in writing within 3 calendar days of delivery and include clear photos, packaging photos, and a description of the issue. Natalie Harris Design may require additional documentation before determining eligibility.
If Natalie Harris Design determines that a verified defect exists, the exclusive remedy will be, at Natalie Harris Design’s option:
- repair,
- replacement, or
- store credit / partial refund in an amount determined by Natalie Harris Design.
11. Shipping, Delivery, and Risk of Loss
Natalie Harris Design is responsible for the order until it is delivered to the shipping address provided by the customer, unless otherwise required by law. The customer is solely responsible for providing a complete and accurate shipping address.
Once a package is marked delivered by the carrier, the customer must promptly secure it. Natalie Harris Design is not responsible for porch theft, weather exposure after delivery, address-entry mistakes made by the customer, forwarding issues, refusal of shipment, or carrier delays outside Natalie Harris Design’s control.
12. Fraud Prevention and Order Verification
Natalie Harris Design reserves the right to delay, decline, cancel, or refund any order suspected of fraud, unauthorized use, resale abuse, or policy manipulation. Natalie Harris Design may request identity verification, address verification, event-date confirmation, acknowledgment reconfirmation, or other information before production begins.
13. Chargebacks and Payment Disputes
By placing an order, the customer agrees first to contact Natalie Harris Design in good faith to seek resolution of any issue before initiating a chargeback or payment dispute.
The customer acknowledges that the order is a custom, made-to-order, final-sale purchase produced according to the customer’s own confirmed selections and/or submitted measurements. The customer further acknowledges that refusal to accept delivery, failure to read the posted policies, or dissatisfaction with self-selected options does not invalidate the payment obligation.
Natalie Harris Design reserves the right to submit evidence in any payment dispute, including but not limited to:
- product-page disclosures
- order details
- checkout records
- checkbox acknowledgments
- page-view or session records where available
- emails, forms, and customer communications
- design review data
- timestamps
- shipment and delivery tracking
- photos and production records
14. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Natalie Harris Design’s total liability arising out of or related to a custom design tool order shall not exceed the amount actually paid by the customer for the specific order at issue.
Natalie Harris Design shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, emotional, special, or event-related damages, including lost opportunities, wedding disruption costs, travel costs, alteration costs, styling costs, or third-party expenses.
15. Event Planning Disclaimer
Customers should not schedule portraits, travel, fittings, or ceremony use so tightly that minor production, alteration, or shipping issues would create hardship. Final fitting, steaming, and event-prep logistics remain the customer’s responsibility.
16. Governing Law and Venue
These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or any order shall be brought in the state or federal courts located in Harris County, Texas, unless otherwise required by applicable law.
17. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
18. Updates
Natalie Harris Design may update these Terms at any time by posting revised terms on the website. The version in effect at the time of purchase applies to that order.
