Great start, disappointing finish

I hope this is not a public review as I don't enjoy making those without speaking directly to the business first at least. I had a great initial experience talking over my dress, color choice, process, and timeline. For context, I was dying my wedding dress all one non-bridal color to be able to use it as a formal gown in the future. In that meeting I asked for a rush order because I needed the dress back for a black-tie wedding I was attending as a guest. I also asked for the dress to be hemmed, as I was reaching out with relatively short notice. I paid the rush fee, but then didn't really get any information back in a timely manner as to how to send my dress (received a few auto-generated emails but not that crucial one.) I sent the dress along quickly, and reached out to make sure they understood it was my dress once I saw the delivery receipt. All seemed okay! I got a text two weeks later with results of the test color swatch, which I approved, then another text the very next day with the dress having gone through it's first dye, asking whether I was okay with that color or wanted to dip again to get closer to my target color (they acknowledged that they had left out some blue to make sure they didn't over-dye, which was great!) I asked for it to be closer to the target color, and they said they'd probably have it dyed the following evening, new pics the day after. This is where things broke down, unfortunately. Two weeks later I hadn't heard anything, and sent a text and several emails to check in. No response. One week later (now two weeks out from the event to which I wanted to wear the dress,) I checked in again, and was given some curt responses that it was coming, that they'd dyed it multiple times since the initial dye, but I was given no additional photos or communication as I had the first time. Another week later I was still waiting on more communication, on any images, and on receiving my dress. At this point I had given up the idea of wearing the dress to the black-tie wedding, since there was no way I would have time to get it hemmed (there had not been any additional questions or discussion of hemming.) I did finally get a photo, (four days before I had to leave for the event,) and confirmation that they were overnighting the dress (and, to their credit, would cover the cost.) It arrived three days before the wedding. The color is good and consistent throughout the dress, though it's quite stiff from the dying process, and I didn't get any responses to that query (though I did get a response to the other half of my question, about hemming.) Ultimately it seems like I slipped through the cracks, but the customer service was inconsistently communicative, not always polite, and definitely didn't fulfill what I asked for (or paid for, given that I paid for a rush order.) I don't really know how to proceed with the stiffness of the fabric, and feel frustrated that no acknowledgement or instructions were given about that. Was it a mistake? Is this how silk dresses always come out when they're dyed? Do I take it to a drycleaners? As the dress experts, and given how much I paid for the dying process, I would have hoped I'd get some instruction from them. Really appreciate the original collaboration, and the quality of the color, but ultimately I am disappointed and worried that I've permanently messed up my $7,000 custom wedding dress.

The dress shrunk it was a total night mare and now I’m trying to get the dress altered again which I asked numerous times before dying
